I am leaving New York in a week, and it sucks. But instead of reciting one of my many angry and frustrated rants, I’m gonna show some new drawings. I did these to commemorate the unofficial comics collective I have belonged to over the past year and a half, temporarily known as the Nicoteam (even though I protested my name being included prominently in the team title).

Originally these drawings were supposed to have some narrative thread running through them, something about a kid version of me and my pet dinosaur trekking through my friends’ comics on my way to Argentina; but I found myself unable to write anything, so hopefully the drawings are good enough by themselves. They are, in order, Jack Forbes‘ Ninja Bunny, Pedro Camargo’s Glam (back in happier days), Hyeondo Park’s Seun, and Yali Lin’s Next to You. And of course, instead of looking at my ugly drawings, go to their pages and read their comics. And goooo Nicoteam!

The MoCCA Art Fest came and went, and as always, it was a ton of fun. Go here for Pedro’s short con report, and here for Yali’s collection of pics.
